As a Production Operator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and quality of our production line by operating machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring all safety standards are met. Key responsibilities include conducting machine inspections, documenting production data, and checking product weights to meet specified targets. You’ll keep your workspace clean and organized throughout the shift, promptly address any issues with the equipment, and report any quality concerns to the Lead and Supervisor. This role is essential to upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a visual inspection of machine prior to start-up (all guards are in place prior to operation) Report all deficiencies to Lead hand
- Document all schedule sheet, downtime, scaling sheet, prior to start-up
- Ensure weights are checked every 10 minutes and are maintained with specified targets
- Keep work area and equipment i.e.: depositor, topping machines, tool box, scale and work table, etc. clean and tidy throughout the shift
- Operate Depositor and react expediently and efficiently to all issues
- Ensure all assigned operator documentation is maintained and complete i.e. down time, batter and scaling sheet
- Inform Lead hand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediately
- Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
- Adhere to GMPs, food safety practices and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completed (minimum) Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills
- Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
- Must be a team player who is dependable and punctual
- Effective communication in essential.
- Must have excellent attendance and work habits
- Experience with GMP and safety awareness
