As a Sanitation Technician III, you will be responsible for executing daily and weekly sanitation tasks to ensure the production floor meets all hygiene, safety, and quality standards. You will operate cleaning equipment safely, report any issues, and collaborate with your team to complete thorough clean downs according to established SSOPs. In addition, you will maintain accurate records, report safety concerns, and support special preparations such as plant tours. This role requires a strong commitment to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all daily and weekly assigned tasks as indicated in the sanitation schedule and according to SSOP’s
- Complete all assigned tasks specific to the weekly production line clean down
- Utilize cleaning equipment in a safe and responsible manner, reporting any damaged or unsafe equipment to team leader, supervisor or manager
- Complete extra duties as assigned in preparation for plant tours etc.
- Maintain current and accurate records of completed tasks in a neat and orderly manner
- Report any impediments or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Manager
- Coordinate with the other sanitation operators to ensure that the whole team completes all their tasks
- Adhering to all health and safety requirements as trained
- Maintain the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma / G.E.D is required
- A clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment is preferred
- Previous experience in a cleaning role would be an asset is preferred
- Proven communication skills both Written and Verbal (English)
- Schedule subject to change under managements discretion
Shift: 12-hour continental bi-weekly rotation (day & nights)
Rate: $26.78 PLUS shift premiums
