Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with existing transportation and warehouse claims to ensure payment is received. 
  • Responsible for reviewing, coding, and monitoring warehouse invoices that are sent to Accounts Payable.
  • Will assist with the logging and filing of carrier and distribution partner claims. 
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by managers such as reporting and tracking warehouse scorecards, warehouse capacity, and daily reports that are used by the inventory and warehouse team.
  • Assist with Over Short and Damage issues that arise in the daily claims box. Will assist in providing disposition to carriers and warehouses for loads that are over, short, or damaged.  This will require communication with key departments such as Aspire Bakeries Quality Assurance, Transportation, Inventory Control, Planning, Customer Service, and Credit/Debits.  This may also require working with outside vendors such as carriers and third-party warehouses. 
  • Will help research customer claims and provide BOLs/POD as requested by the Credits and Debits Team.
  • Assist with archiving emails in the inventory control and claims warehouse box. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and/or 3+ years of experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, claims management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Above-average computer skills with Microsoft Office and mainframe applications. Advanced Excel knowledge and SAP experience are highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with cross-functional groups to resolve problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required.
