The Lead, Bakery-Production can assist in any position on the production line regarding mixing and delivery of product from the freezer and/or oven. This position learns from the supervisor to fill in for day-to-day activity in their absence, when necessary. In addition to quality and compliance, it is the responsibility of Lead, Bakery–Production to contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for themselves, fellow employees and our customers.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures compliance with production procedures
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Maintain appropriate documents and forms for beginning and end of shift reporting
- Assemble, set-up, and stop equipment for changeovers and line specific needs
- Adhere to production running order and recipes
- Assists in standardizing procedures and practices to improve line efficiency and/or product quality
- Ability to work in a hot, cold, wet and loud environment
- All other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Can regularly stand, walk and lift up to 50lbs
- Some manufacturing experience preferred, food manufacturing a plus
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Good communication and observational skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line
- Position requires ability to act as a member of a highly functioning team
- High School Diploma
Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

- Read, Write, and Math skills
- Computer literate
