Key Accountabilities

Master the knowledge and skill set involving ATP & APC swabbing, Chemical titration, AIB, GMPs, HACCP, FDA, OHSA, BRC, SQF, GFSI, SILLIKER, Customer audits and other food process hygiene requirements. Assisting in shutdowns, pro-op inspections, and start up. 

 

Responsibilities and Job summary

  • Work safely and report all safety concerns to supervision immediately. Follow safety rules as it relates to personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow all corporate health and safety policy guidelines 501 incorporate food safety policy guidelines 503 and ensure all team members are following policies 
  • Keep area clean and organized. Properly maintain and secure equipment ensuring team members have equipment needed to perform tasks. Understanding of what tools and equipment or taken into food manufacturing environment and ensuring all tools are accounted for when tasks are complete
  •  Pre-rinse wash and sanitize equipment per company standards
  • Visually inspect equipment and sanitors performance prior to beginning sanitizing process and afterwards to ensure proper reinstall and no damage during the cleaning process. Complete sanitation checklist following each wash. Set up line and all equipment to company standards prior to a production run. 
  •  Work directly with sanitation leadership and quality control technician to correct cleaning deficiencies that may exist after inspection. Communicate and work with production to ensure that shut down and line release to sanitation meets the standard set. Complete line release check sheet and have a production representative sign.
  •  Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals. Aspects which include safety, measurements, and applications of chemical.

 

  • Responsible for establishing priorities and work independently without direct supervision. Plan work schedules and team assignments that ensure the business needs are met or exceeded. 
  • Responsibility for ensuring on time starts by providing hygienic environment so food can be produced in accordance to corporate food safety policy guidelines.
  • Follow AIB (American Institute of baking) guidelines.
  • Understand and follow hazard analysis and critical control points, (HACCP) and good manufacturing practice (GMP). 
  • Apply basic math principles as they relate to product usage and dilution rates. 
  • Clean all types of surfaces, from many different positions and angles. For example, underneath, in between, above or inside. 
  • Understand and perform tasks that require equipment safety, lock out/tag out, properly covering moisture sensitive equipment tightly
  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment and surfaces in all production areas as well as perform silo exterior cleaning and bag house inspections, master yeast CIP and ring main system, spiral freezer (CIP & manual wash down ), drain cleaning and sanitizing, evaporators cleaning and inspecting. 
  • Conduct new team member training, lead team on daily duties and ensure task assignment completion, ensure that every member on the team understands and owns responsibility and are properly draining any quipped to perform the job. 
  • Other duties as required.

 

Salary:  $23.97 - $25.00

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and write in English, and use of basic math and time keeping.
  • Able to make logical decisions.

 

Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

Required

  • High School Diploma /GED

 

Preferred                                      

  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing /light industrial environment preferred

  •        Head/Neck Movement

       Frequent flexing, extending and turning the neck is required.

  •        Cold, Wet, Hot, Dusty, Slippery, Close Space, High areas

       The employee must be able to work in cold, wet, hot, dusty, and/or slippery close space   areas for long periods of time. The employee must be able to work at various heights.

       Employees are required to work weekends, holidays, and Overtime as needed.
