About the Role

 

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery-Wrapper - 2nd Shift to join our team at our Cayce, South Carolina bakery. As an Operator 3, Bakery-Wrapper - 2nd Shift, you will be accountable for operating and monitoring production and packaging equipment to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards while supporting safe and efficient bakery operations.

 Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

 

  • Operate and monitor automated production and packaging equipment to support efficient bakery operations.
  • Produce bakery products that consistently meet established quality and food safety specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and product issues and perform minor adjustments to minimize downtime.
  • Complete production documentation and reports accurately and timely.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with GMP and company standards.
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborate with production team members to achieve operational goals, efficiencies, and customer requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Strong communication and observational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and product-related issues in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation and perform standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work safely in hot, cold, wet, frozen, dusty, and loud environments and near moving mechanical equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating automated production or packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices.
  • Computer proficiency for production-related documentation and reporting.
