The Bakery Analyst plays a dual role in bakery operations, managing production planning/scheduling and serving as the primary training coordinator for the facility. This position ensures smooth operations through effective scheduling and workforce development.

 

Responsibilites:

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop and manage production schedules in collaboration with customer services and warehouse teams
  • Utilize SAP/ERP/MRP systems to plan orders, manage supply, and maintain accurate production data
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust production plans to ensure material availability
  • Communicate three-week rolling forecasts to suppliers and coordinate timely receipt of materials
  • Create process orders and manage new product start-ups
  • Control ingredient and packaging usage to minimize waste and production issues
  • Participate in product recall processes and trace exercises

Training:

  • Manage Alchemy training system for the bakery, ensuring data integrity and completion tracking
  • Serve as point of contact for all training initiatives, including corporate programs
  • Ensure all training materials are current and accessible
  • Track associate skills development, training attendance, and program outcomes
  • Verify training completion for all employees, new hires, and temporary workers
  • Monitor training application to job performance and collaborate with managers on improvement plans
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance training effectiveness

 

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent with 4+ years of planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing or food production environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of product supply, logistics, and quality processes preferred
  • Ability to work in a bakery environment with temperature variations, flour dust, and moving equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather), and to rapid changes in temperature.  The employee must be able to tolerate a work environment that contains flour dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

These requirements are for the safety of the employee and co-workers. These requirements are also necessary for collecting and distributing information to staff and communicating with co-workers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and color vision.
