About the Role

We are seeking a General Labor, Packing team member to join our Alsip, IL bakery. As a General Labor, Packing, you will be accountable for packing baked products according to case counts and quality specifications while maintaining food‑safety standards, supporting line flow, and contributing to a clean, safe, and collaborative production environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 3rd
• Hours: 9:45PM  – 6:15AM
• Weekend availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $18.00–$19.00

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Pack products consistently according to quality, case count, and customer specifications
• Monitor and communicate product quality issues to leads and operators
• Support production flow by placing filled containers on the conveyor or into cases for further processing
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food‑safe work area in compliance with GMPs
• Follow production instructions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and food safety
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals
• Contribute to a safe environment by reporting potential contamination or hazards

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs. as needed
• One year of related experience or training (preferred but not required)

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in food manufacturing or packing environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
