About the Role

We are seeking an FSQA Technician to join our team at our Alsip bakery. As an FSQA Technician, you will be responsible for conducting food safety and quality sampling, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with Aspire Bakeries Integrated Management System (AIMS) and regulatory standards.

Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Weekend Availability: Required

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Understand and apply Food Safety and Quality Objectives and Global Food Safety Policy.
  • Identify and report non-conforming raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Communicate food safety and quality deviations to FSQA Manager and safety concerns to supervision.
  • Support Hazard Analysis & Risk-Based Preventive Controls Food Safety Team in implementing effective food safety plans.
  • Conduct sampling, testing, and documentation per AIMS procedures and records.
  • Verify compliance with cGMPs, HACCP, and preventive control programs.
  • Participate in pre-operational inspections and physical bakery audits (GMP, hygiene, foreign material, glass/plastic checks).
  • Complete sensory, physical, and packaging evaluations on finished products and report results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or GED required; college science courses or food industry experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years of QA or related experience.
  • Strong communication, writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to operate scales, metal detection devices, ovens, and other measuring instruments.
  • SAP experience preferred.
