As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and managing logistics for materials from offsite warehouses to meet production needs. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance, to ensure timely material availability and avoid waste. Additionally, you will manage substitutions, track inventory discrepancies, and support the smooth execution of production schedules while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Your role is essential in supporting efficient operations and ensuring inventory levels align with production requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily counts are performed on critical items and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials and packaging
  • Inventory discrepancies and scanning errors are investigated and reported to the inventory Analyst and Warehouse Supervisor
  • Creating STOS in compliance with all lines scedhiles to ensure adequate timing of raw materials’ arrival from offsite warehouse
  • Ongoing collaboration with purchasing department, all lines Supervisors and Lead Hands to avoid any issues
  • Cooperating with the Schedulers reacting immediately to any schedule changes and material availability
  • Arranging ingredients to be pulled out of the freezerto thaw for production following R&D guidelines
  • Informing all parties involved of any substitutions and proving a copy of emergency approvals to make the process smoother
  • Ongoing assistance in maintaining inventory accuracy and communicating physical variances with the inventory analyst, purchasing team to achieve appropriate inventory levels
  • Work closely with Q&A and R&D department to maintain product with quality and expiry issues.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment based on OHSA
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
  • Perform all other duties assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of SAP inventory expericence and inventory management is preferred
  • Proactive with great attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional team player
  • Broad knowledge of SAP
