Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach and develop Production Supervisors
- Ensuring MDI protocols are followed (shift huddles/communication boards) across all lines
- FSQA Internal Zone Audits (audit ready at all times)
- Participate and responsible for building zone audit corrective and preventative actions
- Responsible for all incident investigations/ follow-ups/corrective actions and support of all H&S initiatives
- Daily/Weekly Loss Tree and waste analysis, follow up on high priority losses
- Participate in building projects, product launches, departmental initiatives
- Participate in weekly maintenance prep meetings and analyze PM WO completion rates
- Ensure systems are in place to monitor all targets and lead development of processes to improve results including continuous improvement.
- Work with the relative departments to evaluate impact of new products and/or projects on the bakery operations and help develop plans to address conflicts
- Work proactively with support teams (maintenance, engineering, sanitation, QA, supply chain, HR, R&D, etc.) to support departmental objectives
- Provide excellent leadership by example from the floor to your team, acting with honesty and integrity, ensuring that the Aspire core values are being promoted at all times.Monitor and review running budget costs results against the planned budget
- Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and quality
- Maintain the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor
- Additional tasks as the business requires
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with experience in report writing.
- Strong team player who can be accountable for their area and support teams within and across functions.
- Proven record in successful planning, decision-making and problem solving.
- Quick thinker who shows initiative and has a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Hands-on, willing attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Taking initiative to achieve results.
- Interpersonal skills to maintain positive employee relations
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Dedicated and energetic.
Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level
Required
- Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience in managing and leading people and processes in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess post-secondary education in either a scientific, engineering or technical trades.
- A background in bakery / yeast / frozen food manufacturing would be an advantage.
