About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery to join our team at our Ancaster bakery. As an Operator 2, you will be accountable for supporting production operations across processing and packaging areas, ensuring accurate ingredient scaling, machine operation, workflow continuity, and compliance with food‑safety and quality standards. This role is essential in maintaining line efficiency, operational accuracy, and product consistency.

- Hourly Rate: $25.94
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate production and packaging equipment to maintain product quality and meet production targets
- Support ingredient scaling, batching, and process accuracy in alignment with PPS and SOP standards
- Maintain accurate production documentation and record data in MII and SAP systems
- Provide workflow support across processing and packaging areas, including relief coverage as needed
- Uphold GMPs, food‑safety practices, and safety procedures, ensuring a clean and hazard‑free workspace
- Identify and communicate equipment issues or ingredient abnormalities to Leads and Supervisors
- Collaborate across teams to maintain efficiency, safety, and continuous production flow
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good oral and written English skills
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to work in fast‑paced environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to pass a clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments
- Previous experience in food industry production or line operation
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software
- Experience with material‑handling equipment (training provided)
