As a Planning Specialist you will  manage and optimize our bakery’s production schedule. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the daily and weekly production plan, updating the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, and ensuring a smooth workflow between departments. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to address any scheduling issues and minimize product changeovers, while maintaining a customer fill rate of 99.8% or better. I


Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and maintaining the daily and weekly production plan for the bakery
  • Creating and updating the production in MRP
  • Supporting the delivery of the production plan
  • Maintaining a current view of MRP for the current weeks production plan
  • Maintaining a current view of MRP for the 13 week rolling forecast production plan
  • Provide weekly schedule for all departments
  • Review previous day’s production and implement changes to the schedule as required from the anticipated delay meeting
  • Minimize product changeover by effective planning
  • Participate in daily production meetings
  • Responsible for any shorts explanation is required daily
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Production and Logistics to facilitate any emergency requests
  • Maintain customer fill rate of 99.8% or better
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
     

Qualifications:

  • College diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
