Production Operator (Prescaler)

Department: Building 1

This position is responsible for ensuring all minor, inclusion, and liquid ingredients are screened and scaled accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for start-up, picking up formulas, and review mixing schedule
  • Scale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas
  • Assist with the loading of ingredients into the mixer
  • Ensure batters are finished in a timely manner - preventing downtime between batches
  • Ensure all variances to formulas are noted and reported to Lead hand and Supervisor
  • Document all ingredients & lot numbers used throughout the shift
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and cleanliness of ingredient bins
  • Inform Lead hand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediately
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
  • Adhere to GMPs, food safety practices and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
  • Must be a team player who is dependable and punctual
  • Effective communication in essential.
  • Must have excellent attendance and work habits
  • Experience with GMP and safety awareness
  • Trained on operation of electric pump truck

 

Educational Requirements

  • N/A

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • The majority of work in the bakery requires employees to stand on their feet for the entire 12 hour shift
  • Physical demands may also include reaching, bending, walking, lifting (up to a maximum of 50lbs) and performing repetitive actions

  • ASPIRE BAKERIES  Limited is a 24 hour/ 7 day manufacturing operation
  • The temperature of the environment within the production area can range from 58 – 80 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the department 
  • The production areas are often loud, exceeding 85 decibels, due to the machinery that is running; earplugs are required to be worn while in the bakery at all times
  • Depending on position, some employees may be exposed to dust; dust masks and respirators are available if required
