Production Operator (Boxer)

Responsibilities:

• Package finished product, make sure you have ample supply of skids, boxes and trays, for your shift            
• Ensure all paper work is completed accurately and efficiently - ex. tickets, packaging reports, etc.
• Report any equipment issues to your Supervisor/Leadhand
• Ensure coding information is correct on the package, refer to packaging specifications.
• Ensure the correct skid is being used, refer to packaging specifications.
• Move finish product to freezer or warehouse
• Work closely with Machine Operator, assist where needed.
• Dump waste when needed and record weight
• Relieve for breaks and lunches when required
• Maintain housekeeping and keep line tidy during production (sweep floors, keep boxes, trays, and skids in designated area)
• Work in conjunction with the Leadhand and co-workers to ensure orders are filled correctly and packaging supplies are available for the next shift
• Adhere to GMPs, Health and Safety rules, and all food safety practices and ensure they are being followed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
• Understands GMP requirements, and works in a safe manner at all times.
