Job Title
•    Mixer, Cakes 

Reporting to
•    Production Supervisor and Leadhand

Position Purpose 
To ensure all ingredients are put in the mixer following the formulas

Key Accountabilities
Ensuring food quality along with standard productivity

•    Responsible for start-up and review of the mixing schedule
•    Visually inspect mixer to ensure no GMP or mechanical issues – report deficiencies to Leadhand and/or Supervisor
•    Follow procedure and mixing standards
•    Ensure batters are finished in a timely manner - preventing downtime between batches
•    Ensure all documentation is done and complete in a timely manner
•    Check and document every batch of batter temperature
•    Document any formula deviations on formula sheet
•    Ensure all variance to formulas are noted and reported to Leadhand/Supervisor
•    Inform Leadhand of any quality issue immediately
•    Ensure work area is kept neat and clean
•    Ensure clean floor area throughout the shift
•    Prior to leaving at the end of the shift - your work area should be organized and clean; all garbage must be emptied and containers must be clean
•    Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and quality
•    Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
•    Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
•    Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed
•    Perform all other duties as assigned

•    High school diploma or equivalent

•    The majority of work in the bakery requires employees to stand on their feet for the entire  8-12 hour shift 
•    Physical demands may also include reaching, bending, walking, lifting (up to a maximum of  50lbs) and performing repetitive actions

•    ASPIRE BAKERIES Limited is a 24 hour/ 7 day manufacturing operation
•    The temperature of the environment within the production area can range from 58 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit depending 9n the department  
•    The production areas are often loud, exceeding 85 decibels, due to the machinery that is running; earplugs are required to be worn while in the bakery at all times
•    Depending on position, some employees may be exposed to dust; dust masks and respirators are available if required
