This position is responsible for establishing and supporting the bakery and safety training programs. Supports and monitors Shift Trainers to ensure all training needs are met. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development of work instructions and standardized work methods
  • Development and upkeep of Job Skills Training Framework
  • Maintains training documents
  • Mentor and monitor Shift Trainers with development and maintenance of standard work instructions (SWIs)
  • Mentor and monitor JSTF Job Skills Trainers (OTJ training)
  • Monitor and manages traning matrix and learning plans for each team
  • Coordinates and schedules training courses with external vendors
  • Oversees Alchemy / Coach training for all departments
  • Delivers required training programs for bakery associates, including xray, chemical safety, LOTO, or other applicable programs
  • Coordinates and delivers orientation for all new hires
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of training
  • Maintain the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor
  • Monitor and maintain PPE and First aid inventory
  • Maintain Kantech access system (FOB security system)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated successful team problem solving, conflict resolution and planning skills
  • Computer skills
  • Proven peer training ability
  • Ability to work independently and also a proven team player
  • Highly organized self starter who can manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn new skills
  • Capable of accurate and timely document keeping
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet the needs of the bakery

 

 

 

 

Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

 

Required

  • Minimum of eighteen months (18) experience with Aspire Bakeries.

 

Preferred

  • Previous related experience as a trainer with a proven track record of getting the job done while engaging people is a definite asset.
  • Post-secondary education in adult education is also an asset.

 

 

 

Salary: $65,000 - $68,000
