About the Role

We are seeking Maintenance Millwright to join our team at our Brantford bakery. As a Maintenance Millwright, you will be accountable for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure reliable and safe operation of all production and facility equipment.

 

Shift & Schedule

Shift: Rotating Continental
Hours: 12‑hour shifts
Weekend Availability: Required

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $47.60

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems, scaling systems, and electrical/electronic components on production equipment.
  • Perform routine, scheduled preventive maintenance and complete assigned work orders.
  • Install and modify mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems as required.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and according to established procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and take a lead role in correction and stabilization efforts.
  • Maintain and repair facility and non‑production equipment, including cold storage, forklifts, lighting, vehicles, and building systems.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in work areas and ensure hygiene, safety, and quality compliance.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Millwright Certification (required).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating continental shift schedule.
  • Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs and frequency drives.
  • Strong initiative, problem‑solving ability, and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to perform duties outside typical scope as needed.
  • Prior exposure to food safety, HACCP, or manufacturing environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Class “B” Refrigeration license.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility.
  • Hands‑on involvement in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting or automation skills.
  • Ability to support cross‑functional maintenance requests across the facility.
