About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitation Operator to join our team at our Brantford, Ontario bakery. As an Sanitation Operator, you will be accountable for ensuring all sanitation activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while maintaining a clean and compliant production environment.

 

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 12-hour Rotating Continental
  • Hours: 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM / 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Schedule: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights (subject to change)
 

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $28.41- $29.56

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Execute sanitation activities in accordance with SSOPs to ensure food safety and compliance
  • Maintain cleanliness of production lines through routine and deep cleaning processes
  • Operate and handle sanitation equipment safely, reporting any issues promptly
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure all sanitation tasks are completed effectively
  • Monitor and document sanitation activities accurately and consistently
  • Identify and escalate safety concerns, risks, or operational impediments
  • Support plant readiness for audits, inspections, and tours

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to work rotating continental shifts (days and nights)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal English)
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team environment
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive movements (standing, bending, climbing)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Previous experience in sanitation, cleaning, or food manufacturing environments
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments
  • Experience working with sanitation schedules and food safety standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills within a team-based environment
  • Familiarity with working in industrial environments (e.g., cold, wet, or high-noise conditions)
