About the Role
We are seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team at our Brantford, ON bakery. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be accountable for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility, ensuring timely shipping, receiving, and production support to maintain operational flow.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Morning (Monday- Friday) subject to change to rotation between Morning/Afternoon, if needed.
- Weekend availability: As required
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $30.08
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
- Operate forklift equipment to safely transport materials throughout the facility
- Support production by supplying materials to picking lines and work areas
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, including accurate inventory handling
- Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Complete inventory transactions and documentation within warehouse management systems (including SAP as needed)
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve material flow issues and ensure efficiency
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid forklift operator license (Counterbalance, Walkie, Raymond Reach) from a recognized provider
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and within a team
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Successful completion of a criminal background check (or pardon)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Experience using warehouse management systems or SAP
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or similar regulated environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail in inventory handling and documentation
