About the Role

We are seeking a Specialist, Bakery Maintenance Purchasing to join our team at our Brandford bakery. In this role, you will support maintenance operations by sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring parts and equipment are procured accurately and on time to keep production running smoothly.

 

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $74,000 – $80,000

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to meet product, pricing, capacity, and quality requirements
  • Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory levels for maintenance parts and equipment
  • Resolve vendor‑related issues to ensure consistent supply, quality, and service performance
  • Support new project initiatives by identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, and assessing vendor capabilities
  • Maintain compliance with contract terms, pricing files, and procurement processes
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to meet equipment, parts, and planning needs
  • Support adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards across purchasing activities

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in a mechanical or maintenance‑related environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP and SRM systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and monitor for extended periods

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Post‑secondary education
  • Experience in manufacturing or maintenance procurement
  • Strong analytical, planning, and decision‑making abilities
  • Ability to build effective vendor relationships
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional maintenance or operations teams
