About the Role

We are seeking a Wastewater Operator to join our team at our Brantford, ON bakery. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the wastewater facility while supporting facility maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Days – Continental 
• Hours: 5:45am – 6:00pm
• Weekend Availability: Required (as part of continental rotation)

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $34.77 plus applicable shift premiums

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment facility to ensure regulatory and operational compliance
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and operational checks of wastewater systems
• Complete assigned facility maintenance tasks to support overall plant operations
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards within the production and wastewater areas
• Identify and report operational issues or maintenance concerns in a timely manner
• Work independently to manage daily responsibilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Support additional operational or maintenance duties as required

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Experience operating a wastewater treatment or water treatment facility
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail with solid organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, and work in confined or elevated spaces for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in wastewater management
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, wet and/or humid environments
• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels
• Ability to work in cold, wet, hot, slippery, and confined spaces
• Ability to work at heights
