About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - 3rd Shift to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery - 3rd Shift, you will be accountable for operating and monitoring production and packaging equipment to ensure products meet quality, food safety, and operational standards. This role is essential to maintaining efficient production flow, supporting equipment performance, and contributing to a safe and productive bakery environment.
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
- Operate and adjust production and packaging equipment to ensure product quality and specification compliance.
- Monitor equipment performance and perform minor troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain machine settings and ensure production materials and supplies are readily available.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately and timely.
- Uphold food safety, quality, GMP, and sanitation standards throughout production.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production schedules, operational goals, and continuous workflow.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of production equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and product-related issues.
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Good communication and observational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food manufacturing or bakery production experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience operating automated production or packaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
