About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery – Production to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As an Operator 3, Bakery – Production, you will be accountable for operating automated production and packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, food safety, and production efficiency standards are met. This role plays a key part in maintaining seamless production operations, supporting equipment performance, and contributing to a safe, team-oriented manufacturing environment.


Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Operate and adjust production and packaging equipment to ensure products meet quality and food safety specifications.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment performance to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and product issues, escalating concerns when necessary to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, reports, and operational records.
  • Support equipment start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, production schedules, recipes, and established operating procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while contributing to overall team performance and production goals.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Equipment operation, product knowledge, and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong communication and observational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating automated production or packaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with production schedules, running orders, recipes, and changeover processes.

Work Environment

  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, frozen, dusty, and loud manufacturing environments.
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
