About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Bakery – Inventory & Warehouse Operations to join our team at our West Columbia, SC bakery. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and data integrity while driving inventory accuracy, working capital optimization, safety, quality, and operational efficiency in support of bakery performance goals.

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Lead warehouse and inventory operations to ensure safe, efficient shipping, receiving, storage, sanitation, and material handling

• Drive inventory accuracy and control through cycle counting, variance analysis, reconciliations, and corrective action leadership

• Optimize SAP inventory and production transactions, resolving discrepancies, COGI errors, and data integrity issues

• Manage multi-million-dollar inventory by reducing obsolescence, ensuring FIFO compliance, and mitigating expiry and quality risk

• Partner cross-functionally with QA, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales to align inventory, service, and cost objectives

• Develop and sustain processes and standards including SOPs, GMPs, 5S, safety, and inventory control documentation

• Build, develop, and lead teams by hiring, coaching, and training warehouse and inventory personnel while driving productivity improvements

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, or distribution

• 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience

• Hands-on experience working with SAP systems

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations

• Knowledge of Lean methodologies (Kanban, Kaizen, 5S)

• Advanced SAP inventory and materials management expertise

• Demonstrated success managing large-scale inventories and KPI reporting
