The Manager of Demand Analytics and Continuous Improvement will be charged with driving the analytical processes for the demand planning team to improve forecast quality and reliability. This position will drive continuous improvement through the creation of advanced analytical reporting and demand planning-specific projects, leveraging business metrics, KPIs, and external benchmarks to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of long-term performance and long-term forecast (24-month period).
  • Exception management reporting resulting in data-driven decision-making and the assessment of value-added forecasting.
  • Partners with key stakeholders across Supply Planning, Material Management, Procurement, Marketing, Commercialization, Project Management, Customer Development, Customer Service, Logistics, Operations, and Finance to provide advanced analytical support and planning specific to demand planning across the organization.
  • Assist with the development of best practices and proactive strategies specific to demand planning and analytics.
  • Develops a shipment demand plan utilizing consumption input, sales input, statistical models, historical sales data, trade inventory assumptions, and channel inputs.
  • The objective is to deliver the most accurate unbiased, unconstrained Demand Plan based on all cross-functional inputs. 
  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Finance in resolving any discrepancies in volume/revenue assumptions vs. the operational demand plan. Analyzes assumptions received from commercial teams and other supply chain peers to determine their relevance and value to the total Category Demand Plan.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree- preferably in the supply chain, operations, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+  years of experience in Demand Planning/Forecasting or related field required   
  • Demonstrated performance in leading Demand Planning and continuous improvement
  • SAP, BI, JDA, Domo, SAP IBP experience a plus
  • Experience working with Access, Excel, PowerPivot, and SQL
  • Certification – APICS, IBP, IBF, LEAN 6 SIGMA a significant plus
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data is required
