About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Customer Development, Retail to join our team supporting assigned retail accounts within an assigned territory (remote with frequent travel). As the Sr. Manager, Customer Development, Retail, you will be accountable for driving revenue growth, executing new item and program launches, and advancing strategic customer partnerships within key accounts. This role plays a critical part in delivering profitable growth through strong customer leadership and cross‑functional collaboration.

 

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $108,000 – $145,000

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Drive revenue, volume, and value growth across assigned retail customer accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic customer plans aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Partner with senior leadership to design and deliver growth strategies and action plans
  • Own sales forecasting and budget management to ensure profitable growth
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration to support customer performance and new item launches
  • Represent the company in customer presentations, negotiations, sales meetings, and trade shows
  • Build long-term customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and achievement of key performance metrics

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5–7 years of retail sales experience in a senior sales role
  • Proven experience managing key customer accounts
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel frequently by car, plane, or train
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience in CPG and/or food manufacturing environments
  • Distributor or mainstream retail channel experience
  • Bakery or food technical knowledge
  • Strong understanding of food trends and flavor profiles
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic mindset with a hands-on leadership approach
