Responsibilities:                                                            

To work with multi-functional operations teams and business leadership to develop, execute and complete selected improvement projects.

  • Act as a change agent to instill performance improvement culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvement
  • Own and manage AOE (TPM related platform) across the site, implementing priority pillars with greatest impact to business performance
  • Work with multi-functional operations teams to develop, execute and complete selected improvement projects
  • Provide management with regular project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects
  • Work with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of performance improvement projects
  • Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process/productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that will lead to cost reduction and competitive advantage
  • Train other team members on performance improvement methodology during project execution
  • Train and coach employees at all levels through formalized training and informal coaching sessions
  • Collaborate with other Performance Improvement Managers and stakeholders in the organization to share best practices and to maximize understanding and improvement efforts of performance improvements

 

Qualifications:

  • High standards of integrity, energy level, and self-motivation
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills, financial experience an asset
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office, a statistical program (Minitab, JMP), and/or a database would be an asset
  • Ability to demonstrate values consistent behaviour
  • Ability and motivation to learn and try new things and new ways of improving
  • Relevant degree or college diploma
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills, ability to gain executive support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to coach others and be a change agent

 

Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

Required

  • College Diploma/Post Secondary Education in related field
  • Good oral,written English and presentation skills

Preferred

  • 2-3 years of process/business improvement experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility
