About the Role
We are seeking a Lead, Bakery-Production – 1st Shift to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As a Lead, Bakery-Production, you will be accountable for supporting the Production Supervisor in driving safety, quality, and efficiency while ensuring production runs smoothly, materials are prepared, and teams are aligned to meet operational goals.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Weekend availability: Required as needed based on production demands
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Support production operations by coordinating team activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Communicate production schedules and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are prepared for each run
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company specifications, GMPs, and food safety standards
- Troubleshoot line issues and collaborate with maintenance and supervisors to resolve operational challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation for production, waste, and quality assurance activities
- Train and support team members while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment while safeguarding company assets
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math and timekeeping skills
- Ability to make logical decisions and adapt to production needs
- Ability to lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs and frequently carry over 20 lbs
- Willingness to work in varying conditions (cold, hot, wet, noisy environments)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Bakery or production line experience
- Experience leading or training team members
- Familiarity with GMPs and food safety standards
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with production equipment
