About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery – Packing (Grandi Operator) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 2, you will be accountable for ensuring the proper operation and calibration of vision systems, weighing equipment, and packaging machinery to maintain efficient production flow, minimize waste, and ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.

Weekend availability: Required

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Grandi Vision Systems, case weighing equipment, and packaging machinery to ensure continuous production flow
  • Perform calibrations and verification checks to ensure product weights and quality specifications are consistently met
  • Communicate production issues, equipment alarms, and out-of-spec conditions promptly to minimize downtime and waste
  • Coordinate with packaging, maintenance, sanitation, and quality teams to ensure efficient and compliant operations
  • Maintain production readiness by reviewing schedules, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth shift transitions
  • Uphold safety, sanitation, and GMP standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Support team performance through training, collaboration, and active participation in problem-solving and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills and timekeeping ability
  • Ability to make logical decisions and respond to production issues
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently carry items over 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in varying environments (cold, hot, wet, noisy, or confined spaces)

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with packaging equipment, vision systems, or weighing systems
  • Experience working with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience training or mentoring team members
