Responsibilities:
- Communication & Issue Resolution: Carry company radio at all times, serve as first contact for operational issues, and report problems to appropriate departments (maintenance, sanitation, quality assurance) with urgent matters escalated immediately to production supervisors.
- Break Coverage Management: Coordinate and provide break relief for all positions in assigned area, including temporary employees, while ensuring proper break rotation and completion of all duties during coverage periods.
- Production Coordination: Communicate with team members regarding line status changes, changeovers, start-up and end times, and collaborate to maintain safe and efficient workflow throughout production runs.
- Quality Assurance & Safety: Execute HACCP plan requirements, conduct and record metal detector checks, validate materials and labeling accuracy, and report any products not meeting company quality standards.
- Team Support & Training: Assist team members with troubleshooting, provide training to new employees and temporary staff, and support colleagues to ensure production efficiency before involving supervisors.
- Workspace Management: Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas, manage waste disposal and animal feed bins, and ensure proper removal at shift changes or product changeovers.
- Production Operations: Perform machinery adjustments, handle equipment start-ups and shutdowns, validate production materials, and print/prepare necessary labels for production runs.
- Shift Transition: Ensure proper setup for incoming shift and communicate all relevant manufacturing process information to maintain continuity.
- Asset Care & Compliance: Maintain company equipment and facilities in safe, clean condition while following all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Flexible Support: Adapt to various job assignments based on production needs and perform additional duties as required to meet production and efficiency standards.

Qualifications:
- Good communication skills, in English.
- Ability to read and write in English, and use of basic math and time keeping.
- Able to make logical decisions
- High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous work history in a food manufacturing facility.
