As the Packaging Break Relief Operator III you are an essential team member in maintaining operational flow by covering employee breaks, assisting with line startups, changeovers, and shutdowns, and ensuring all packaging meets our rigorous quality and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in training new and temporary employees, troubleshooting minor issues, and collaborating with support departments to deliver high-quality products that reflect Aspire’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Must carry a company issued radio at all times, break relief is the first contact for operator, mixer, and other minor issues. I
- Responsible for covering all breaks in their respective area, including temporary positions.
- Packing and Production break relief should communicate with each other to coordinate all changes in line status such as changeovers, start up time, and end time to the team members in your area.
- Understand the companies HACCP plan, perform and record all metal detector checks appropriately to ensure product and customer safety.
- Assist team members regardless of position if help is needed to ensure safe and efficient production runs. Help team members, when possible, to troubleshoot issues before involving support departments and/or production supervisors.
- Report any products that are visually out of company and quality standards to the production supervisors.
- Know, understand, and follow safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform all tasks and duties required to ensure production and efficiency standards are met.
- Perform training of new techs, temporary employees, operators, and break reliefs; and assist in other training activities which support the manufacturing process.
- Flexibility in job assignments based on production needs, as designated by a supervisor.
- Make all necessary machinery & equipment adjustments and performs all tasks & duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Previous work history in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Ability to read and write in English, and use of basic math and time keeping.
- Able to lift or move (push or drag) 50 lbs.
- Frequently carrying more than 20lbs.
