About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team at our Los Angeles, CA Office. As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be a strategic brand and business leader responsible for translating the La Brea Bakery growth plan into integrated strategies and disciplined execution. You will connect consumer insights, brand strategy, innovation, customer marketing, digital commerce, PR, social, experiential, and sales enablement to grow awareness, distribution, velocity, and profitability while protecting the brand's artisan heritage and premium positioning.
This role requires you to be onsite in Los Angeles four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $108,000 - $144,000
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
- Lead annual and long-term brand strategies that drive growth, distribution, revenue, and profitability while strengthening La Brea Bakery's premium artisan positioning.
- Translate consumer, customer, category, competitive, and performance insights into strategic priorities, actionable plans, and executive-ready business recommendations.
- Drive integrated marketing programs across paid, owned, earned, social, influencer, PR, experiential, e-commerce, and retail media channels with clear objectives, KPIs, and optimization plans.
- Lead innovation and commercialization strategies for new products, renovations, packaging, and growth platforms, balancing consumer needs, brand fit, operational feasibility, customer opportunity, and financial performance.
- Enable customer and sales growth through compelling sell stories, customer-specific activation programs, merchandising tools, launch materials, and integrated omnichannel strategies.
- Manage agency and external partner relationships by establishing clear briefs, scopes, timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations.
- Own marketing budgets, forecasts, investment decisions, and performance measurement while proactively managing risks and driving accountability for business results.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) (Required to be considered)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of marketing experience in CPG, food, beverage, retail, or a related consumer industry, including ownership of a brand or business segment.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated brand plans, product launches, and cross-functional commercialization initiatives.
- Experience in brand marketing plus at least two of the following areas: customer/shopper marketing, digital/e-commerce, PR/influencer, innovation, insights/category management, or agency leadership.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, agencies, negotiations, and performance measurement.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with advanced PowerPoint, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with modern marketing and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations and travel as needed for business activities.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) (Nice-to-haves that could set candidates apart)
- MBA.
- Experience with Circana/NielsenIQ, syndicated and customer data sources, digital analytics, retail media, and marketing measurement.
- Experience using AI-powered tools and automation to improve marketing effectiveness, streamline workflows, generate insights, enhance content development, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience developing customer-specific growth strategies and integrated omnichannel programs across retail and e-commerce.
- Experience leading creative, media, PR, influencer, digital, research, or experiential agency partners.
