Ensures compliance with delivery schedule and quality of product delivered.  Fulfils customer orders, production orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and /or shipped.



  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type or style.
  • Managed to work in cold temperatures  (freezer)
  • All finished goods are palletized, recorded in SAP and shrink wrapped to specifications.
  • All Finished goods are moved to the proper freezer location in a timely manner.
  • All materials used in production are transferred to correct locations in SAP properly and accurately, before and after using materials.
  • All documentation is completed accurately – Pallet count sheets, Pallet tags and lot number accuracy.
  • Maintain raw material, packaging, warehouse and freezer in accordance with GMP.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible, clean organized and safe for all thru traffic.
  • Always operates the forklift in a safe manner.
  • Serve as back-up for other department activities.
  • Relieve warehouse personnel for breaks and meals.
  • Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations.
  • Maintains clean, organized and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools; sweeping and mopping floors; and trash removal.
  • Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Overtime hours may be required based on work demands.  Employee must be flexible with these hours.

High School diploma / GED desired or equivalent years of experience in a bakery environment.

Specialized knowledge of all area and/or departmental processes and relevant equipment will be given consideration.



Ability to comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.  Must have good command of The English language.  Ability to distinguish and identify different products by reading labels.



Basic math skills.  Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Ability to write numbers legibly.



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.



SAP Computer experience preferred.  Knowledge of inventory control software helpful.



No certifications or licenses are required. Forklift certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is continuously exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) conditions and to rapid changes in temperature, and occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).  The employee must be able to tolerate a work environment that contains flour dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can get loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is continuously required to sit and to use hands to finger, handle or feel forklift controls and materials. The employee is occasionally required to twist, bend and stoop, and to reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with the aid of a co-worker. The employee must occasionally push/pull manual forklifts and other equipment. With the aid of co-workers, the employee is occasionally expected to push/pull equipment on wheels up to 75 to 200 pounds approximately 75 feet Frequent flexing, extending and turning of the neck and head are required. 


This position requires employee to have adequate communicating and observational skills, including seeing, speaking and hearing, due to the operation of various types of moving equipment used in the bakery.  These requirements are for the safety of the employee and co-workers.  These requirements are also necessary for collecting and distributing information to subordinates, and communicating with co-workers.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and color vision.
