Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation of equipment/manufacturing line, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with Production/Packaging procedures/practices as well as inspecting all areas within the manufacturing line/equipment for any operational and/or mechanical issues as well as taking corrective action and notifying supervision and/or management.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Assists supervision in standardizing procedures/practices to improve line efficiency and/or product quality.
  • Work safely; follow proper Lockout/Tag out procedure where applicable.
  • Be proactive in preparing for all runs for that day.
  • Review production orders, sequence, and amount.
  • Print all documents such as specifications, and process control.
  • Order materials needed.
  • Inspect the ingredient bin, and ensure all scoops are there and lids are not broken
  • Inspect scaling containers to make sure they are in good condition
  • Inspect the mixing area for good housekeeping
  • Set up line based on the production schedule
  • Ensure to follow the proper bag and box  opening procedure
  • Scale all ingredients according to the formula, the only variation is the ice and water ratio due to temperature requirement. Mix time may change due to flour spec.
  • Use a dedicated egg container for scaling
  • When filling ingredient bins make sure the lots are the same if not, finished all of the old lots and then pour in the new lot.
  • Ensure systems are on such as proofer and ovens.
  • Inspect scaling containers, making sure that they are in good condition.
  • Inspect the Proofing and Baking area for good housekeeping.

 

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED, and (1) one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
