About the Role
We are seeking a Tech 1, Bakery - Maintenance, Facilities to join our team at our Ontario, CA bakery. As an Tech 1, Bakery - Maintenance, Facilities, you will assists the maintenance department in keeping up the facility and equipment by performing necessary repairs, and/or maintenance. All tasks must be performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and food quality protocols.

- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $28.00 - $32.00
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Perform routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting
- Repair and maintain facility structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows
- Ensure proper operation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Maintain grounds and exterior areas as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
- Replace or repair defective components to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Assist during emergency situations and facility breakdowns
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2–4+ years of maintenance or facilities experience
- GMP/HACCP Certificate (in-house), sit- down & stand-up forklift certified, boom/scissor lift certified
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Basic computer skills (CMMS experience a plus)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working around industrial equipment.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Experience in food or bakery manufacturing maintenance
- Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
