Oversees and assists on the line. Ensure that our product meets the company's standards and specifications. Complete, legible, and accurate documentation. Must understand and follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Food Safety and Quality Standard Requirements are being maintained daily. Must understand and comply with the company Allergen and HACCP policies. Must communicate with Supervision of any Food Safety or Equipment concerns.



  • Monitors area to assure equipment and operators are working according to food safety, quality, legality standards, and production schedules.
  • Monitors products and packaging in the product area and assures that each meets food safety, quality, and legality standards. Ensuring that all code dates are correct on packaging prior to shipping.
  • Assists in all operations of production and packing.
  • Monitors mixing and production of the specified products.
  • Keep all tank lids closed.
  • Use an appropriate color brush. Bottle and bucket per color code chart.
  • Familiar with mixing area and makes adjustments when needed.
  • Familiar with packing area and makes adjustments when needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring relief of all breaks and lunches as required.
  • Able to perform every position on the line.
  • Receive flour deliveries when necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the product area. Keep packaging storage area clutter free and clean.
  • Reads Lead’s log book before shift begins and records findings after the shift ends including all downtime and damages.
  • Ensure all process documents are brought out for the day's start and/or collected at the day's end. Ensure start-up documents are completed daily and any concerns report to Supervision.
  • Immediately report to the supervisor any employee issues, safety issues, etc.
  • Keep engineering and Supervision informed of any equipment issues.
  • Ensure that the metal detector checks are completed on time.
  • Keep supplies stocked in the packing area. (packaging, code tape, kwik-loks, replacement blades).
  • Ensure sap numbers are recorded accurately and the First In First Out process is in place for packaging.
  • Responsible for changeovers.
  • Start-up and/or shut down equipment as necessary.
  • Always check the product at the start of the run and after any breaks to ensure that heels are free from settled flour dust and discard as necessary.
  • Ensure all out-of-spec products are rejected.
  • Understand inventory control and staging of products.
  • Ensure pre-shipment review documents are completed accurately.
  • Attends all Lead meetings.
  • Ensure employees are following all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in your area.
  • Correctly weigh and record any waste to be disposed of.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.



  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing or food environment. 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Ability to read and write accurate and legible documentation
