About the Role

We are seeking a Materials Management Supervisor to join our team at our Ontario bakery. As a Materials Management Supervisor, you will be accountable for ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods across the supply chain, balancing procurement, inventory control, and warehouse operations to support production and customer delivery requirements.

Compensation

Salary Range: $67,000-$80,000

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Oversee end-to-end materials management including procurement, inventory control, and warehouse operations
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods
  • Coordinate production materials and resources to meet manufacturing schedules and customer delivery requirements
  • Implement and maintain inventory control processes, including FIFO practices, cycle counts, and SAP accuracy
  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff while managing performance, scheduling, and employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, leadership, and external partners to resolve inventory discrepancies and optimize supply chain efficiency

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP for inventory and order management
  • Proven experience supervising and leading teams in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, including FIFO and cycle counting
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
  • Effective communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
