About the Role  

The Tech 3, Bakery Maintenance is responsible for ensuring all bakery production equipment and facility systems are maintained in a safe, sanitary, and fully operational condition. This role supports consistent production output, food safety compliance, and equipment reliability. All tasks must be performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and food quality protocols.

 

Shift & Schedule

  • Pay: $37
  • Hours: 10 PM- 6:30 AM
  • Weekend Availability: Required

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) 

  • Maintain and repair bakery equipment to support uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure work areas and tools are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and promptly address equipment issues.
  • Accurately complete maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and allergen control procedures.
  • Stay current with bakery production processes, including fermentation and bun production systems.
  • Support continuous improvement in equipment performance and food safety practices.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve equipment and safety concerns efficiently.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  •  4–7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food or bakery manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint Travel: Not required
  • Fast-paced bakery production environment Exposure to heat, noise, and food ingredients

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working around industrial equipment.
  • Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in food or bakery manufacturing maintenance
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
