About the Role 

 

 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Operations - Regional to lead and optimize our bakery manufacturing network. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple facilities, ensuring consistent execution of best practices, and aligning cross-functional initiatives to support growth, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with deep experience in manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. 

 

Compensation 

 

  • Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000 

 

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)  

  • Lead and align operational strategy across all bakery facilities, ensuring consistent execution of Aspire Operational Excellence, standardized procedures, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.

  • Partner with the CMO and executive leadership to oversee plant performance, budgets, conversion costs, sanitation strategy, and operational audits, driving accountability and corrective action.

  • Drive performance management through KPI governance, scorecards, profitability analysis, and data-driven identification of optimization and cost-reduction opportunities.

  • Oversee plant shutdowns, changeovers, and network-wide optimization initiatives, including waste reduction, process improvements, and best-practice implementation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Continuous Improvement to support innovation, commercialization, and strategic growth initiatives.

  • Build and develop high-performing teams by leading plant managers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and succession planning.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in food or bakery production.
  • Proven track record in operational strategy, continuous improvement, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
