About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitation Team Member (3rd Shift) to join our team at our Santa Ana, CA bakery. As a Sanitation Team Member, you will be accountable for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and facility areas to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and compliant bakery operations.

Weekend availability: Required

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $21.00
 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and facility areas in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Disassemble and reassemble production equipment to ensure thorough and effective cleaning
  • Follow GMP guidelines to ensure food safety and product integrity
  • Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely using proper procedures and knowledge of chemical properties
  • Maintain accurate cleaning and sanitation records in accordance with SSOP requirements
  • Organize and maintain chemical storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and safe storage practices
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to uphold sanitation standards and support production needs

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Basic English and/or Spanish literacy skills
  • Ability to follow sanitation procedures, GMP guidelines, and safety regulations
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn proper handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • GMP and/or HACCP certification
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification
  • Previous experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a related environment
