About the Role
We are seeking a Mixing Operator I to join our team at our Santa Ana, CA bakery. As a Mixing Operator I, you will be accountable for preparing and mixing dough ingredients according to recipe specifications, staging materials, and ensuring proper dough development to support high‑quality production. This role is essential in maintaining food safety, product consistency, and a clean, organized work environment.

- Shift: 2nd
- Hours: 2PM – 10:30PM
- Weekend availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $19.00–$21.50
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Prepare, scale, and mix ingredients according to recipe and established time/temperature standards
- Stage, weigh, and document ingredients and dough batches to support continuous production
- Take and record required temperature readings (e.g., margarine, water, eggs, final dough)
- Unload dough from mixers and prepare sections for further processing
- Operate sifters and assist with rework mixing as needed
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all GMP, HACCP, and food‑safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and team members regarding production needs or concerns
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Basic English literacy (reading, writing, and documenting weights/temperatures)
- No prior experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a production environment
- Ability to work cooperatively with peers and follow verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and basic food‑safety principles (in‑house training provided)
- Experience working with mixers, cutting tools, or ingredient‑handling equipment
