Journeyman Engineer

As a Journeyman Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing facility equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. In this hands-on role, you'll prioritize and execute maintenance tasks, conduct daily inspections, and assist with boiler system checks and adjustments. You'll collaborate with the maintenance team, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility.

Responsibilities:

• Gives priority to and executes on all verbal assignments from production management and maintenance management.
• Completes written work orders as assigned.
• Completes daily tasks from the Maintenance checklist. 
• Inspects the water boiler daily and is responsible for checking chemical tank, releasing pressure, and checking salt levels. Makes adjustments to boiler as needed.
• Assists the mechanics as needed.
• Request parts needed and follows up on them.
• Communicate daily with the maintenance team regarding any issue.
• Conducts daily facility walk-thru inspection, identifying and resolving issues immediately.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of maintenance shop and yard.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• 1 year of maintenance experinece or equivalent required, manufacturing environment preferred
• GMP/HACCP Certificate (in-house), sit- down & stand-up forklift certified, boom/scissor lift certified

Shift:  Must be available to work any shift, as scheduling be based on senority.

Hourly Rate: $38.26
