About the Role
Shift & Schedule
Hours: Based on production schedule
Weekend availability: Required
Compensation
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Monitor and ensure proper shaping, scoring, alignment, and flow of bakery products throughout the production line
- Inspect product quality and spacing from proofer through baking, cooling, and packing to meet specifications
- Operate and troubleshoot production equipment (e.g., scoring systems, conveyors, flour dusters), reporting issues promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation of line checks and production performance
- Support production targets by minimizing waste and maintaining efficient line operations
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment in compliance with GMP and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis, standard work adherence, and waste reduction
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads as needed)
- Ability to work safely in environments with moving equipment, temperature changes, and flour dust
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or bakery environment
- Experience with food safety, GMP, or quality control processes
- Familiarity with automated production equipment and troubleshooting
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, AOE, Centerline)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a production setting
