About the Role
We are seeking a General Labor team member to join our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for forming units to product specifications, slicing product tops, aligning product entering the oven, and monitoring quality throughout the production process. You will also maintain sanitary conditions in all assigned areas to meet safety and GMP standards.

- Shift: 2nd
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $18 per hour
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor high-speed continuous production lines.
- Set up and maintain line equipment in the filling room.
- Perform visual product inspections and regrades.
- Communicate with team members to ensure process continuity and quality standards.
- Maintain adequate stock of raw materials on the line.
- Perform basic cleaning and sanitation of line equipment.
- Enter inventory data into the warehouse management system as required.
- Perform manual lifting and adhere to all health and safety requirements.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments preferred.
- Previous experience in the food industry preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-based production environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Flexible schedule; subject to change under management discretion.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
- Frequent lifting between 10 and 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull 10–30 lbs frequently.
- Adequate communication and observational skills (seeing, speaking, hearing).
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Continuous exposure to cold conditions and rapid temperature changes.
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions and heat.
- Tolerance for flour dust required.
- Noise level is typically moderate but can occasionally be loud.
