Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling & Coordination: Ensure adherence to daily production, packaging, and retail bagging schedules while coordinating and assigning daily tasks to subordinates in packaging departments.
- Equipment Monitoring & Quality Control: Monitor equipment operation, perform quality control checks including metal detector testing and temperature monitoring, and report maintenance issues to appropriate departments.
- Documentation & Data Management: Maintain accurate production reports, quality logs, employee time records, and enter case production data into spreadsheets and MOVEX/SAP systems as required.
- Materials & Inventory Management: Ensure sufficient packaging materials are available daily (cartons, labels, retail bags, pallets, case tape) and operate forklift/pallet jack to move products including freezer operations.
- Safety & Compliance Oversight: Ensure proper protective equipment usage, maintain safe working environments, immediately report unsafe conditions or injuries, and verify compliance with GMPs and health safety protocols.
- Food Safety & Quality Assurance: Adhere to food safety practices, maintain tools in good repair, follow proper hygiene and sanitation procedures, and immediately report potential contamination or suspicious activities.
- Continuous Improvement & Training: Participate in root cause analysis, conduct daily area walks to detect issues, train others on standard procedures, and contribute improvement ideas through AOE pillar activities.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with Machine Operators and Leads, follow SOP procedures, use Centerline and CIL management systems, and ensure proper labeling and packaging material application
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software. Ability to learn new computer software as required by the company
Preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control software helpful.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Shift: 2nd (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) *must work weekends*
Hourly Rate: $22.00
