About the Role
We are seeking a Lead, Bakery-Production Donut to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Lead, Bakery-Production Donut, you will be accountable for leading daily production and packing operations to ensure product quality, food safety, and adherence to production schedules. This role plays a critical part in optimizing operational efficiency, supporting team performance, and maintaining a safe and productive bakery environment.

- Shift: 3rd
- Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $25
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Lead and coordinate production and packing teams to achieve daily production goals and schedules.
- Monitor product quality, process compliance, and food safety standards throughout production.
- Support and train team members on equipment operation, standard work procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and SAP transactions to support operational reporting.
- Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
- Promote continuous improvement through root cause analysis, waste reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Foster a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by ensuring adherence to GMP, food safety, and health and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of Lead Operator experience in a manufacturing, bakery, food production, or related environment.
- Ability to understand, operate, and adjust process controls as required.
- Ability to interpret scale readings, temperature readings, operating procedures, and safety documentation.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP or similar production management systems.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced bakery, food manufacturing, production, or packing environment.
- Experience leading production teams in a continuous manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, and sanitation practices.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
