As a Maintenance Lead, you will coordinate and work with a crew of skilled technicians to keep our facilities and equipment in top condition. You will handle both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. You will also provide technical guidance and problem-solving skills to meet our customers’ expectations. This role requires you to fill in as a Shift Maintenance Supervisor when needed.



  • Works as an active member of the shift team performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Maintains detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections
  • Manages contractor work as required and as assigned.
  • Communicates with the team regarding performance standards and expectations.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS).
  • Performs root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommends changes.
  • May conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and work order audits.
  • Coordinates daily work orders and projects as they occur across shifts.
  • Maintains plant facilities and grounds in accordance with relevant regulations, company and regulatory standards, and fiscal considerations.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies and systems and engineering concepts to continually improve plant performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.



  • A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret graphs and diagrams preferred.
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.  Ability to complete forms detailing maintenance work performed.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance software is preferred; knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Depending on location may require various licenses by local, county, state, or federal agencies. This position requires a valid driver’s license.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be standing or walking nearly 100% of the time, including occasional walking on uneven ground. 
  • Hand and finger movement is required frequently to manipulate hand tools, parts and equipment. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to smell. 
  • The employee is expected to frequently carry tools or equipment up to 25 pounds; and to twist, bend and stoop in conjunction with lifting up to 50 pounds with the aid of co-workers.  Frequent flexing, extending and turning of the neck and head are required. 
  • With the aid of co-workers, the employee is expected to occasionally push/pull equipment on wheels up to 75 to 200 pounds approximately 75 feet. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb ladders up to 25 feet when repairing roof, light fixtures and/or hanging signs, etc.
