Responsibilities:

  • Ensures adherence to the daily production, packaging, and bagging schedule.
  • Ensures that sufficient packaging materials are available for daily activities (cartons, bags inserter, liners, glue box machine temperature, etc.).
  • Make sure the bag inserter is within sealed temperature and that is free of residues.
  • Adjust the measurements in the case erector within specifications, size, length, width, and height, use measurement tape if necessary.
  • Completes bag verifications to assure proper sealing.
  • Completes the box strength verifications.
  • Feeds cases into machine and removes cases from discharge conveyor when needed.
  • Communicates equipment maintenance concerns to the appropriate team, including the Lead, Packaging Supervisor, or Maintenance department.
  • Ensures that products meet the highest standards for quality, legality and safety of each product and that manufacturing processes are efficient and complaint.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment by keeping the assigned area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software. Ability to learn new computer software as required by the company
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • High School Diploma or GED
