About the Role

We are seeking a Bakery Oven Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Bakery Oven Operator, you will be accountable for ensuring precise baking performance by monitoring product quality, managing oven and proofer processes, and supporting efficient line flow in a safe and sanitary environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1st
• Hours: 6:00AM – 2:30PM
• Weekend availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $20.00

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Operate and monitor proofing and oven systems to ensure products meet baking specifications
• Inspect product throughout the baking process to maintain quality and consistency
• Coordinate and support oven‑area employees, including training and work direction
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the oven and proofer areas
• Perform accurate and timely data entry to support production reporting
• Participate in continuous improvement activities including Centerline, CIL, and root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety rules, and safety procedures

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to use computers and operating screens to perform job duties
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Experience working in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Experience with oven or proofer operation
• Basic mechanical understanding of production equipment
• Prior experience supporting team direction or training
